The university encourages and is committed to principles of freedom of ideas, expressions and scientific research: Teaching staff, support staff and students within the university have the right of freedom of expression and scientific research within the laws and constitution of the Republic of South Sudan.

No South Sudanese should be deprived from joining the University whether as student or employee because of his/her religion, gender, political affiliation, social background, physical disability or sexual orientation.
